11 October 2012 Economies of the Commons 3: Re-Imagining The Archive will be the biggest ‘eCommons’ yet with two streams of extraordinary keynotes, presentations, hands-on workshops and plenty of networking. The conference will look at two themes: The challenge of large numbers: Digitization and restoration of film, A/V and photography and The future of archives: The Economies of Sharing & Re-Imagining the Archive.

Launch Celluloid Remix op Beamlab

15 April 2009 Within the framework of Images for the Future, the Filmmuseum and Knowledgeland will launch the online remix competition Celluloid Remix on Beamlab on the 15th of April. The Filmmuseum will place 21 unique silent film fragments stemming from the period 1917 – 1932 at the competitors disposal.
