Digitization of photographic material has commenced

10 December 2009 The content supplying parties, Sound and Vision, Filmmuseum and National Archive have collaborated intensively over a one year period to draw up the estimate and the European tender for the digitization of photographs and negatives. The National Archive facilitated this process due to its know-how in the field of photo digitization and conservation.

Milestone: fourteen proposals for digitizing photo collections

09 June 2009 Thursday, June 4 at 2 P.M. the deadline for delivering proposals for the digitization of photographic material from the National Archive, the Filmmuseum and the Dutch Institute for Sound and Vision expired. The Tender included over 1.300.000 photographs and negatives. The National Archive called for this European tender.

Launch of Digitization of Photo Collections

14 April 2009 In the past six months the National Archive, the Filmmuseum and the Dutch Institute for Sound and Vision have collaborated extensively on the guidelines for the European tender for the digitization of photographic prints and negatives. The National Archive is taking the lead in this trajectory because of its expertise in the field of photography and the digitization of photographs.
