Images for the Future’s activities can be seen as a chain: the next step can only be taken when the current one has been worked through and completed. We distinguish between the following links in the project:
- Restoring and preserving
- Digitizing collections
- Adding meta-data
- Making arrangements with copyright holders
- Contextualizing the collections
- Channeling content through services and distribution towards the end user
Two workgroups are responsible for these activities: Workgroup 1 directs the first part of the chain (restoration, preservation, digitization, meta-dating); Workgroup 2 oversees the arrangements for copyright holders, contextualization, and the development of services for the end user (click on organization to see how the activities are further divided between the project partners).
